Tribute to AQ ambassador Dixie Dansercoer

Hey Dixie,

We would like to say a few words to you.

We were on expedition together in Iceland, in Switzerland, stood on the podium together for keynotes, you were an AQ ambassador, in and alongside our book. Rudi and I felt that click with you from the start, in every fibre, in word and deed.

In our contacts and moments spent together, you were a beacon of peace, an inspirer, a guide, a leader. Oh so pure, authentic, warm, open, helpful and aware. Not in function of yourself, the pursuit of profit or mere personal enrichment. No, in function of the common good, today, tomorrow and even more for the future. That of our children and grandchildren.

I am not exaggerating in the least by describing you as a wonderful person. Your Julie and children were of enormous value to you and we fully shared that family element as well as the sporty and ambitious approach. You did things so unconditionally with the emphasis on giving and not taking.

How it hurts. Pain to lose you, our hugs and laughter, a beer together, but also our philosophical reflections, and not to be able to share this anymore. Pain because there was still so much on the plan together. Programmes in Sweden for leaders to navigate differently and better in complexity and change, projects within organisations with a link to personal leadership, adaptivity and sustainability, ... But for now, the expedition in Greenland was central.

Even more pain, because we miss you already.

As you have always said, standing still is very useful, but not always an option. And that is what it feels like now. On the one hand, the world is standing still, but on the other hand, we have to keep dreaming and moving forward. This is what you have given me: dreaming and believing in yourself as well as in others leads to meaningful actions, meaningful contributions in function of the common good. Sustainability comes first.

We promise you, Dixie, that we will take care of ourselves, the people around us and nature and our planet.

But we would like to take you with us on our journey, our expedition. We will continue it, in a different way, with sorrow, but just as much with strength and faith. Faith in tomorrow and in the future for all of us.

Thank you Dixie and see you later!

Your friends and believers,

Tim, Rudi
