Book presentation 'AQ Live lighter, work smarter'

On May 20, the book "AQ, living lighter, working smarter " was officially launched. During this hour, Rudi and Tim, together with Jo Benoit and Dixie Dansercoer, explained the fundamentals of adaptivity as well as their approach to teams and organizations. Full of enthusiasm, Dixie set out on his next expedition to Greenland the week following this interview. He looked forward to it and had everything prepared down to the last detail, but bad luck has been fatal to him. We are very grateful to him for the inspiration and his enormous support for our “expedition”. We will weave his exemplary role into all our programs so that his life's work can be continued through our life's work. Sustainability, empowerment, ownership, awareness and teamwork: principles that Dixie holds dear.

We lose a good friend, we lose an inspirer as well as a AQ ambassador, but above all, we lose a good human being. Let us not lose his lessons! We take you on our AQ path. Thanks for everything, Dixie. Also thanks to Pelckmans Publishers, Hans Verhoeven, Jo Benoit and Artizan Productions.

Our society is accelerating and we find it hard to keep up. We are confronted with an abundance of stimuli, a far-reaching digitalization and ever more powerful changes, both at work and in our broader society. Tim Vermeire and Rudi Francken explain their model on adaptivity and AQ in The Boxring TV.

Podcast: Living lighter working smarter with Tim Vermeire & Rudi Francken

"Hey there! In today's podcast, I am talking with Tim Vermeire and Rudi Francken about living lighter and working smarter. We are talking about five principles you should use as a guide to develop a growth mindset, manage your energy, and find a balance between your work and personal life."

Living and working as a judoka

The intelligence quotient (IQ), we already knew that. Just like the EQ, for emotional intelligence. But what really gives quality to your life (and job) in the 21st century is the AQ, which stands for Adaptability Quotient or adaptive intelligence. There is more to this concept than you might think.

"Adaptive intelligence for leaders: work smarter, not harder"

How busy you are expresses how important you are. The greater your lack of sleep, the more ambitious you are... Recognizable? Then as a leader you need AQ, or adaptive intelligence, Rudi Francken and Tim Vermeire write exclusively for MT.

"AQ: Adaptive Intelligence - Live Lighter, Work Smarter".

We are thrown off balance today by a host of changes: technological, digital, changing organizational structures and collaboration models, and.... also by corona and other crises.

"Adaptive intelligence is the core competence of the 21st century. Just as a judoka needs to be stable and flexible in order to beat his opponent".

The Greeks already knew: pantha rei. The world is constantly changing. Couple that with the Darwinian 'survival of the fittest' and you end up with 'those who can't adapt to change sensibly are out of the game'. Luckily there is such a thing as AQ or adaptive intelligence...

Tim Vermeire in conversation with Ann Reymen on MNM

IQ you know. EQ too. But now there is AQ, also known as Adaptive Intelligence. What is that exactly and how do you apply it in your busy life? Author Tim Vermeire explains.

Press release Pelckmans Publishers

"Being adaptively intelligent does not mean always adapting but knowing when it is necessary and useful. So it's about achieving both stability and flexibility. It is the core competency of our time! "
